Jacopo Mazzetti (*1987, Milan) lives and works in Athens and Milan.
His artistic practice unfolds as a cosmic archaeology: tracing ancestral echoes and projecting possible futures, his work proposes a reality in which the boundaries between the ephemeral and the tangible meet, inviting us to enter a broader and more circular horizon of being. Moving freely between sculpture, light, sound, painting, text and found matter (from marble and gold to ash and crystals), Mazzetti shapes lyrical and metaphysical environments, where objects radiate beyond their physical limits and perception itself becomes a material.
Grounded in an alchemical approach to matter and a post-anthropocentric outlook, his practice explores circular time, psychic androgyny and intergenerational exchange, staging intimate constellations that invite revelatory states of consciousness.
Since 2013, he has exhibited internationally, including at Centre d’Art Contemporain (Geneva), Tokyo Jazz Club (Tokyo), Felix (Los Angeles), Fitzpatrick Gallery (Paris), International Press (Athens), Basel Social Club (Basel), Beau Travail (Stockholm) and Des Bains (London).
In 2018 he founded Octagon, an exhibition space and platform based in Milan.
He performs live sets as part of Wildlife Conservation Society.
