Jacopo Mazzetti(*1987, Milan) is based in Athens.
His practice is geared towards the creation of environmental installations that immerse the observer in an enigmatic atmosphere, where the spatial and temporal coordinates seem to dissolve as the perception sharpens. Characterized by a peculiar chemical/alchemical materiality and a post-anthropocentric vision his research and work explores notions of circular time, psychic androgyny and intergenerational exchange.
Crafting scenarios that enable revelatory states of consciousness and generate conditions of individual and collective intimacy, his works embody an evolving model of the universal mind, an entity to which the consciousnesses of any sentient being can connect, making their contribution as co-creators of the world.
Since 2013 he has exhibited his work internationally, including at Centre d'Art Contemporaine, Geneve; Felix, Los Angeles; Fitzpatrick Gallery, Paris and Basel Social Club.
He performs live/dj set as part of the Wildlife Conservation Society.
In 2018 he founded Octagon, an artist run space based in Milano.
